How our Waiting List
&
Puppy Selection Works

How does the Waiting List Work?

Short Answer: The first person to submit their NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT (and we receive in hand, with their check being made out to: Jennifer Foster) will be placed on the list first, with the second person following suit, and so on.

Call Jennifer (at: 804-815-2388) for our mailing address.

Rest assured, once we receive your non-refundable deposit, we will contact you and confirm your placement on the Wait List litter of your choice (and verify your position on the list).

The phone call is also to ensure everything is acceptable to you. If not, we just tear up the check (before depositing the check).

Any questions or concerns. PLEASE call and talk Jennifer: 804-815-2388

What happens when my litter arrives? What are my choices?

Before you mailed in your deposit, you will have talked to Jennifer at least once (in length) and gone over numerous details on how Emma Hope's litter selection works. During that phone conversation you may have had a thousand questions (rightfully so!), but - as a reminder - allow us to go over some details listed below:

1. Once a litter is born, Jennifer will know (for sure) how many pups (boys and girls) are available, and she will then contact each person on the Wait List, via phone (in sequential order of the Waiting List).

Reminder:
During this "litter birthing announcement" phone call, you ARE NOT choosing a specific pup, but only confirming your position for puppy selection within this litter.

The actual puppy selection is done during the litter's 5th week after birth, and the selection is done, again, in order of waiting list roster / deposit received.

---------------------

2. We understand life throws curve balls now and then, and during this "puppy birthing announcement phone call, you will have the choice to accept a puppy (from the litter wait list your name is on), or not!

If you choose NOT to accept a pup from this litter, you can request Jennifer remove your name completely from any wait list, OR have your name moved to the next planned litter list (where other families may then be above you in the wait list roster).
*** In other words, your placement on the next available litter list will be in sequential order per the date of your decision. We offer this choice one time only because we do not want you to lose your non-refundable deposit.

----------

3. Once you agree to accept a puppy during this "puppy litter birthing announcement" phone call", the agreement between you and Emma Hope's Aussiedoodles is considered confirmed.

Since some time may have passed since your name was put on the waiting list, during the phone call Jennifer can go over the details again of what will happen in the next 7 to 8 weeks (including such things as your 5-week commitment payment, and final payment before the actual adoption / puppy pick up).

-------------

4. In order to be respectful of our time and efforts, if - at any point - after this "confirmation phone call" you decide to change your mind and not take a puppy from this litter, you must understand this puts the puppy (and Emma Hope's Aussiedoodles) at an extreme disadvantage therefore, you will forfeit not only the non-refundable deposit, but any other non-refundable monies held by the breeder up to your cancellation announcement.

Puppy Selection. When do I choose my puppy?

Unlike so many others we don't have you select your puppy in the first week. After all, you know nothing about the pup's personality, nor their health.

Our Puppy Selection process occurs starting / during the 5th week after birth.

The first person noted on the waiting list chooses first. The second person chooses second...and so on.

This selection can be done in person, or via use of the live stream cameras and phone call (or Facetime) communication with Jennifer.

When will my pup be ready for adoption / pick up?

The actual adoption / puppy pick up is customarily at 8 weeks after birth, but Virginia State Law/requirements allows the adopting person/family to adopt / pick up - in person - their pup as early as 7 weeks after birth.

At puppy pick up, Jennifer will sit down with you and go over the entire contract... including the 2-year Limited Health Guarantee.

We do not ship puppies unattended or use (or work thru) puppy brokers.

Pups must be picked up by the 8th week of life.

Full payment is expected by the before the contract is signed, and the puppy is handed over to the fur-ever adoption family. No exceptions.

Emma Hope's Aussiedoodles is not boarding facility. We fully expect the fur-ever family to pick up their pup by the 8th week of life. (This information was explained during your initial conversation with Jennifer and covered again in your puppy selection process with Jennifer - at 5 weeks).

*** If a puppy is not picked up by the end of the 8th week, a daily charge will be assessed... at $75.00 per day for every day, or portion of the day, the puppy remains with us.

---------------

If the puppy is not picked up (contract signed and adopted) by the end of the 8th week, ALL monies held by Jennifer (and applied to the pup's adoption) will be forfeited, and the puppy will be offed up for adoption to the next approved family.

*** Again, our focus is on the welfare of the puppy, and they should be in their fur-ever home by the end of the 8th week.

Questions?

How much? Tell me again.

We have only one price. So, unlike others, we don’t have base price for the pup, and then add “more” for the sex, and then “more” for a specific coat color, and even “more” or the color of the pup's eyes or coat condition (i.e. - curly, wavy). And no, we don’t add even “MORE” if you want a "2-year Health Guarantee" (in the contract) on your pup. We have only one price.

----------------

Our Sires and Dams are not only Health Tested (including CERF), but DNA tested. If you're looking at a different breeder, ask them if they too DNA test, or are their sires and dams just "cleared thru parentage"? If you're paying, don't you have a right to know the breeder is doing their best to earn your trust, and support your pup?

--------------------------------

Payment: All at once, or it can be done in 3 separate times in the puppy process.

** Checks or cash only.... we don't do PayPal, Venmo or whatever else is out there. Yup, we are just too old for that.

1. A $300.00 non-refundable deposit is due before being placed on the Emma Hope's Aussiedoodle Waiting List (this $300.00 goes towards the total cost of the puppy & and ensures us of your commitment to the puppy adoption process). Ask Jennifer for our mailing address.

2. The second installment is required at the 5th week of life mark (this is the time when you choose your puppy). This remittance confirms your allegiance to the puppy process & also goes towards the total cost of your puppy.

3. And lastly, the final installment. The final amount is the remaining balance of your puppy agreement, and that which is posted on your contract. This final installment must be made BEFORE puppy pick-up/adoption.

NOTE: Because of the time needed to clear any check thru our bank... this last payment must be in cash.

Please feel free to call Jennifer (we don't text or email about pups... to impersonal) to discuss this matter.
