What breeds do we offer?
We center our full attention only on the Aussiedoodle.... no other breed, or variation of "doodle".
Weight / Height?
At Emma Hope's Aussiedoodles, we our focus on the "mini" to moyen aussiedoodle.
With all the personal opinions and internet "experts", there's no doubt that anyone can become confused. And, depending on who you talk to and what you’re reading… our Aussiedoodles fit into the MINI to Moyen class.
What we know for sure is:
- Emma Hope (our dam) is 17" in height, and weighs 24.5#.
- Merlin (our sire) is 16.5" tall, and weighs 35#.
- Charley Quinn (our dam) is 18.0" in height, and weighs 24.38#
- "Gus" (sire) is a 14# AKC Mini Poodle
Note: There are four classes that your aussiedoodle can fit into (depending on which "expert" your talking to, or which internet article your reading.)
1- Toy
2 - Mini or Minature
3 - Moyen
4 - Standard
About your pup’s adult size, eye color, type of hair/coat, and height/weight.
Forecasting a puppy’s adult size/type and other variables is not a science…it’s an informative “GUESStimate”.
We base our Aussiedoodle puppy conversations with you (and others) on (1) your pup's sire and dam & their parents (grandparents), (2) on our own experience, and (2) documented health / DNA testing.
So, we think it's fair to say, no one can guarantee / promise with complete certainty ... your pup's adult weight, type of hair/coat, eye color and so forth.
Eyes & Coats.
A puppy's eyes don't open till approximately 8-14 days. And once they're open, the eye color, like the coat color of the Aussiedoodle, can change! So yes, "An Aussiedoodle coat and eye colors can be like a box of chocolates. You don't really know what you're going to get.". But, you can get a pretty good idea, by way of proper health testing and your breeder's canine knowledge.
HEALTH / DNA TESTING.
Point blank... unlike so many others, at Emma Hope's Aussiedoodles... we health test our sire and dam. It's that simple. We simply don’t rely (or fall back) on vague comments like “pass thru parentage”.
All of our helath DNA testing data is copied, placed in a transfer binder, and provided to the adoption family at the 8 week turnover time frame.
We will not breed a dog if there are ANY known genetic defects that can / will be passed on.
We simply don’t rely (or fall back) on “pass thru parentage” comments.
CAN I EXPECT MY PUPPY TO SHED?
At Emma Hope's Aussiedoodles, we use PawPrint Genetics and OptiGen. We also use other sources for OFA and CERF testing (to name a few).
Our DNA reports show that Emma Hope (“Mom”) is a non-shedder. And “Merlin” (daddy) is – at best - what is know as a moderate shedder (also know as: "sd/SD"). So, according to the PawPrint Geneticist (that my wife talked to concerning the documented results)... your shoul expect much less shedding (if any).
NOTE: Both Emma Hope and "Merlin"
DO NOT
carry the MDR1 gene.
What are our prices?
We have one price. Unlike others, we don’t list a price for the pup, and then add “more” for the sex, and “more” for a specific color, and even “more” or eye or coat color. And no, we don’t add even “MORE” if you want a "warranty / guarantee" (in the contract) on your pup.
Visibility.
For our puppy's potential future family members, we offer live stream camera... almost 24/7! You can view the antics of the pups within the whelping box, and while inside and outside their play areas.
So yes, you can watch your future pup / future family member come into the world! And, if you’re up at 2 or evn 5 in the morning… you can see what they’re up to also.
When can I actually see/touch/interact with the litter?
At the 5 week mark, we allow "hands on" puppy viewing for the first time. The true purpose of this meeting is to see how the pup(s) interact with you and your family. Puppy selection starts at the 7 week mark.
To find out more ("why so long"), please call Jennifer at: 804-815-2388
When can I pick OUT a puppy from the litter?
NOTE: Puppy selection, by the future forever family, is done in order... of when we received your nonrefundable deposit.
Selection of your puppy will begin the first day of the seventh (7th) week (after whelp date).
Jennifer will contact each adoptive family that day, in order, and request your decison.
To find out more (i.e. - "Why so long?"), please call Jennifer at: 804-815-2388
When can I pick UP my puppy?
