Frequently Asked Questions

Price?

We have only one price. Unlike others, we don’t have base price for the pup, and then add “more” for the sex, and then “more” for a specific coat color, and even “more” or the color of the pup's eyes or coat condition (i.e. - curly, wavy).

And no, we don’t add even “MORE” if you want a "2-year Health Guarantee" (in the contract) on your pup.

Please call Jennifer, at: 804-815-2388 for up-to-date additional information.

DNA Testing of our Sire and Dams & Health Tested

Prior to breeding, our Dams and the Sire used have all gone thru DNA testing. If either "mom" or "dad' did not have the necessary documentation... they are NOT used for breeding.

Both mom and dad are health tested, including annual Eye Examinations (CERF).

Prior to our pups leaving for their fur-ever family homes, each pup has received at least two deworming (3 consecutive days each) protocols.

Prior to our pups leaving for their fur-ever family homes, each pup has seen our DVM for: (1) microchip implantation and (2) their Healthy Puppy checkup.

NOTE: Our fur-ever families should make their DVM aware… that the sire and dam of their Emma Hope's Aussiedoodle pup is MDR1 clear/normal.

02

Visibility. Weekly Photos & Live Stream Cameras

For our pup's future / adopting family members, we offer live stream camera coverage... 24/7 as they grow.

You can watch the cameras when "Mom" goes into labor, as they are born, in their whelping box, or while they are in their play areas (inside and/or outside) ... as they grow!

The only time the cameras are off is when we are cleaning, or there is a power outage... otherwise, the cameras are on!

So yes, you can watch your future pup / future family member come into the world! And, if you’re up at 2 or even 5 in the morning… you can see what they’re up to also.

Weight? Height?

At Emma Hope's Aussiedoodles, we our focus on the "Mini" to "Moyen" Aussiedoodle.

With all the personal opinions and internet "experts", there's no doubt that anyone can become confused. So, depending on who you talk to and what you’re reading… our Aussiedoodles fit into the MINI to Moyen class. (And yes, we think everyone will acknowledge THAT MOTHER NATURE sometimes throws in some surprises!)

So, there are four classes that a Aussiedoodle can fit into (depending on which "expert" you're talking to, or which internet article you're reading.)

1- Toy

2 - Mini or Miniature

3 - Moyen

4 - Standard

We can just try our best

About your pup’s adult size, eye color, type of hair/coat, and height/weight.

Forecasting a puppy’s adult size/type and other variables is not a science…it’s an informative “Guesstimate”.

We base our Aussiedoodle puppy conversations (with you and others) on:

(1) your pup's sire and dam & their parents (grandparents)

(2) on our own experience, and

(3) documented health / DNA testing.

So, with that being said, we think it's fair to say, no one can guarantee / promise with complete certainty ... your pup's adult weight, type of hair/coat, eye color and so forth.

05

Eyes & Coats

A puppy's eyes don't open till approximately 8-14 days (and it could be bit later). And, once they're open, the eye color (just like the coat color of the Aussiedoodle) can change!

So yes, "An Aussiedoodle coat and eye colors can vary".

Saying that, Jennifer can get a pretty good idea (by way of a DNA testing) of the Sire and Dam of your pup.

06

Don't fall for "Cleared Thru Parentage"

Point blank... unlike so many others, at Emma Hope's Aussiedoodles... we health test our sire and dam. It's that simple.

We simply don’t rely (or fall back) on vague comments like “pass or cleared thru parentage”.

We will not breed a dog if there are ANY known genetic defects that can / will be passed on.

07

When can I pick up my puppy?

Some littermates are ready sooner than others. Saying that, Virginia State Law says a puppy can be picked no earlier than 7 weeks, but the normal pick-up age is at 8 weeks after birth.

We strongly discourage a pick-up time after 8 weeks, because the pup needs to start acclimating to its new fur-ever family home environment.

A boarding charge and other penalties will be assessed if your pup goes beyond 8 weeks with no pick-up.

08

Will my dog be Hypoallergenic?

At Emma Hope's Aussiedoodles, our Dams and the Sires we use are DNA tested. This testing will give us an excellent reference/base line however, the truth is NO ONE can tell you that answer and be 100% positive. Why? Because each human relates to their surrounding environment differently.
Truth: If someone does tell you that this or that dog is, unequivocally, hypoallergenic... well, personally, I would keep walking.
Fact: Many breeders do not do any DNA testing. And many don't even health test their sires or dams.
